Hey, hi, hello and welcome! I’m so excited to have you here.
Substack is the perfect way for me to share my work without needing someone to tell me what I can and can’t write, and forces my friends and family to subscribe because I have all their emails.
I chose to name my newsletter Feral Cats because I’m a narcissist and it has my name in it, but also because feral cats are one of the largest threats to animals in Australia.
Every morning when you wake up, feral cats in Australia have killed 3 million small mammals overnight. That’s over 1 billion small mammals killed per year from feral cats alone in Australia. And that doesn’t include any delicious reptiles or birds that the cats munch on.
That makes feral cats 12.5 times more murderous than Genghis Khan 🤯🤯

But what can you expect from Feral Cats?
Feral Cats will be full of my thoughts and takes on the current science / environment / conservation news as well as some feral moments from my life so the forced friends and family subscribers know that I’m alive without me needing to call them (that’s a win 🤝 win).
I’ll also write about the highest moment, lowest moment and most feral moment from each fortnight. So much to look forward to!
Of course, everything is subject to change. Consider that sentence your Ts & Cs.
Stay feral,
Cat 🐈
P.S. Go read some of my published articles here.
